The Wisconsin Deer Park located in Wisconsin Dells. We are proud to be celebrating over 70 years in the business of showcasing Wisconsin’s beautiful wildlife to both tourists and visitors from around the world. Being one of the Dells’ original attractions, we pride ourselves on being family-owned and operated by the Tollaksen family. Within the park, you’ll find 40 acres of land for the animals to explore and about 4 blocks worth of walking for you to see them at play. For decades, we’ve been a zoological supply service for live deer, and we are passionate for the art of breeding and raising these magnificent animals. Deer from our park have been shipped to exhibits and zoos all over the country, but our heart is behind operating the park as an animal exhibit and educational experience. While strolling our well-groomed trails, you can expect to see a variety of deer and other animal species, including: White Tail Deer American Elk (Wapiti) American Bison European Fallow Deer Japanese Sika Deer Goats Game Birds Llamas Horses Emus Lemurs We are dedicated to ensuring that the care and comfort of our animals remains a top priority, and we take pride in showcasing them for the maximum enjoyment of our park guests. If you’ve seen photos, you’ve most likely seen people posing with our most graceful of the deer species, the Virginia White Tail, who range free amongst the main feeding area of our park. These animals naturally range through much of the Upper Midwest, and commonly we receive feedback that they are smaller than one would expect. The average deer you may encounter up close stands about 34 inches from shoulder to ground. Within our second feeding area, you will get up close and personal with the European Fallow Deer. The species has 4 varieties – Black, White, Brown and the spectacular Spotted English Fallow Deer – a fan favorite. This deer has antlers like a moose – wide and flat – and for the size of this animal, they are of huge proportions! The Deer Park encourages visitors to frequent the park during the different seasons of the year. In doing so, you will be able to see the changes that these beautiful creatures experience from the Spring through the Fall. From May until the middle of June, fawns are born almost every day! During late July and August, the bucks’ antlers have grown, making them majestically handsome.
