2026 02 15 *설교 중간중간 음질이 좋지않지만 은혜롭게 들어주세요~ [안개 같지만] 요한복음 20: 30-31 찬송가 292 요한복음 20: 30 예수께서 제자들 앞에서 이 책에 기록되지 아니한 다른 표적도 많이 행하셨으나 31 오직 이것을 기록함은 너희로 예수께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 믿게 하려 함이요 또 너희로 믿고 그 이름을 힘입어 생명을 얻게 하려 함이니라 (개역개정) [Even Though Foggy 안개 같지만] We may find ourselves trying to 're-believe' in Jesus, even after we have already placed our faith in Him. However, when you find Jesus clearly revealed in the Scripture, believing in Him as your personal Savior requires no strained effort. Instead, the focus shifts to recognizing the abundance of evidence of Jesus living in you. The author of John's Gospel states that Jesus performed many miraculous signs (evidence), but his purpose in writing was to focus on Jesus Christ, who unites each individual believer. 1) Including John's Gospel, all the books of the Bible were written by people inspired by God, and they collectively declare that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who saves all who believe in Him. The Greek verb translated as 'you may believe' in verse 31 is better understood not as a simple statement of belief, but as 'making a decisive act of faith' or 'coming to believe.' 2) What is the result of this decisive act of faith? The answer is 'life,' as stated in the latter part of verse 31. God not only initiates our faith but also creates a certain act of new life within us, a life that is completely different from our natural, worldly existence. As one commentator put it, 'This new life is deep, mystical, inexplicable by any other words than itself.' 3) This is why, as we hear the Word, we simultaneously discover a profound union: 'Jesus and I.' When we hear, read, or interpret the Bible, we are called to live in this world in pursuit of Jesus alone, hoping to live with Him eternally—a life that is heaven, eternal life—even as we navigate the 'foggy and haunting' realities of this present world. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us Jesus and our ultimate hope to live with you. We ask you to give us wisdom to live in this world so that we can enjoy you rather than craving this world. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. #LondonSeoulChurch #Rev_WooGuhyun #WooGuhyun #런던서울교회 #우구현목사
