Anatomy is a sore spot for most yoga teachers. Many think it's their ticket to finally feeling confident and knowing what they are talking about. But being able to recite the fancy names of muscles and joints doesn't translate into useful information for your students. Having said that, knowing how the shoulder works is a very important part of being a good yoga teacher. So many people these days have shoulder problems, and they are SO easy for a yoga teacher to fix. If you want a student for life, fix their shoulder problem. 😁 When anatomy it's taught from the perspective of movement (and not just stretching), the information immediately becomes useful and applicable in the next class you teach.
