Anyone who has followed Leonardo’s story for a while will already know that the song “Layla” by Eric Clapton along with “Sultans of Swing” by Dire Straits” were the first 2 songs Leonardo ever listened to. The versions he heard first were both from the Live Aid concerts of 1985, which Leonardo’s parents sometimes listened to during the Covid lockdowns in 2020. Leonardo would build a guitar from his toy bricks and stand in front of the television and play just like his heroes Eric Clapton & Mark Knopfler. Since then he has spent hours upon hours practicing this world famous song and has now added some of the lyrics to his performance along with the piano outro which was used during the live aid concert back in 1985. Leonardo says that “Layla” is definitely in his top 10 favourite songs to play currently and he genuinely enjoys playing it every time.
