Good morning to all and welcome to adoration and the celebration of the Holy Mass on this Friday of the third week in Ordinary Time. In the reading from 2 Samuel we hear of the great sin of David both in relations with Bathsheba and then arranging for the death of Uriah. We are astounded that King David could have this great fall after all that the Lord had done for him. But David does eventual repent as we see in Psalm 51, "Be merciful, O Lord, fore we have sinned." In the reading from the Holy Gospel today, Saint Mark continues with parables of Jesus regarding the qualities of the coming of the kingdom of God and the great harvest of of starting from something so small and becoming so big.
