The coldest air of the year by a degree starts your Monday. Before this morning the coldest morning was back on January that began at 18 degrees. This is also the first time we've had a December low in the teens since 2022 in Charlotte. Highs reach the upper 30s which is near the coldest day of the season status. Sunshine will be with us today and winds will be much lighter than yesterday. Expect wind chills to be in the 20s to near freezing most of the day. Tuesday (Tomorrow): Still cold, slowly improving Another cold night tonight with lows starting in the mid 20s come sunrise on Tuesday morning. Tuesday brings more all-day sunshine and a warm-up, with afternoon highs climbing into the upper-40s to the lower 50s.
