CRWA humbly acknowledges that our work is carried out across the traditional territory of the Massachusett, Nipmuc, and Wampanoag Nations and recognizes Indigenous people as past, present, and future caretakers of our watershed. Every year, IPD Newton hosts an Indigenous Peoples Day Ceremonial Celebration. In 2025, more than 1,000 people gathered to support over 70 local Indigenous businesses & non-profits, enjoy live music, art demonstrations, & cultural presentations, eat delicious food, & be in community to celebrate Indigenous peoples.
