READ DESCRIPTION BELOW: Tech21 VT Bass is very versatile pedal that can be used along with every type of bass. This could be good as recording unit as well. This pedal gives you a lot of tone customization options because of their unique Character knob. Playing riff from my band's Theatrum new song from upcoming album (link on band below). No compression, equalization and other types of processing used, just bass plugged into pedal. Equipment used: My custom bass Brutal Egregore V; Native Instruments (NI) Komplete Audio 6 (24bit/44.1kHz); Steinberg Cubase LE AI Elements; Pedal supplied by Carl Martin ProPower. TECH21 VT BASS features: LEVEL adjusts the output level LOW - cut or boost low frequencies by ±12dB from unity gain (12 o’clock). HIGH - cut or boost high frequencies by ±12dB from unity gain (12 o’clock); MID - cut or boost custom tuned 500Hz by ±12dB from unity gain (12 o’clock). DRIVE - adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive, similar to when the output section of a tube amp is being pushed. CHARACTER - sweeps through an entire range of tonal possibilities associated with this style of amplifier. In addition to modifying the frequency response, Character also influences the attack and drive characteristics. Therefore, you may need to adjust your gain and tone settings after tweaking the Character control. • Settings below 12 o’clock will give you the ‘70s powerhouse, the SVT. • Around 12 o’clock will introduce you to the studio staple, the flip top. • Above 12 o’clock increases the gain and crunch for less polite, modern rock, indie bass sounds. • Full up yields distorted bass tones fromYes to Crimson to King’s X styles SPEAKER SIMULATION - Voiced specially for the VT Bass pedal.
