Ingredients: • Coconut oil – 250 g • Olive oil – 250 g • Stearic acid – 50 g • Vegetable glycerin – 400 g • Homemade sorbitol (sugar + water syrup) – 40–50 g • Propylene glycol (PG) – 25–30 g • Distilled water – 150 g • Sodium hydroxide (NaOH / lye) – 70 g • Sugar – 20 g • Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) – 25 g (for 0.5 kg opaque portion) ⸻ Step-by-Step Method Step 1 – Prepare Lye Solution (5–10 min) 1. Dissolve 70 g NaOH in 150 g distilled water (always add lye to water). 2. Let it cool to ~40–45°C. Step 2 – Melt Oils & Stearic Acid (5–10 min) 1. Melt coconut oil + olive oil + stearic acid in a double boiler (~50–55°C). Step 3 – Combine Lye Solution with Oils (5 min) 1. Slowly pour lye solution into melted oils while stirring continuously. 2. Blend until light trace (slightly thickened but still pourable). Step 4 – Add Glycerin, Sorbitol, PG, Sugar (3–5 min) 1. Add vegetable glycerin, homemade sorbitol, propylene glycol, and sugar. 2. Stir gently until fully incorporated. Step 5 – Pour Base & Split (2–3 min) 1. Pour mixture into a heat-safe container. Cool 2–3 min. 2. Split into: • 1 kg transparent portion • 0.5 kg opaque portion Step 6 – Transparent Portion 1. Pour 1 kg portion into molds. 2. Let solidify 6–12 hours at room temperature. Step 7 – Opaque Portion 1. Make a slurry of TiO₂ with a teaspoon of glycerin or oil. 2. Add TiO₂ + PG into 0.5 kg portion. 3. Mix gently for 3–5 min. 4. Pour into molds immediately. Step 8 – Solidification 1.
