PDF Guide: [Ensure careful read] Beginner-Friendly Guide to Setting Up a Simple Network in CiscoPacket Tracer Step 1: Open Packet Tracer Open Cisco Packet Tracer and start a new project using a blank workspace. Step 2: Add Devices to the Workspace For each office, add the following devices: Office A: Two PCs, one switch Office B: Two PCs, one switch Add one router to connect both offices together. At the end of this step, you should have PC1, PC2, Switch A, PC3, PC4, Switch B, and one router. Step 3: Connect the Devices Using Cables Click on the Connections icon (lightning ⚡ bolt). Connect each PC to its office switch using a Copper Straight-Through cable. Connect each switch to the router using a Copper Straight-Through cable. Ensure all devices in the same office are connected to the same switch and that each PC uses a different switch port. Step 4: Assign IP Addresses Click on each PC, go to the Desktop tab, then IP Configuration. Office A IP settings: PC1: IP 192.168.1.10, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.1.1 PC2: IP 192.168.1.11, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.1.1 Office B IP settings: PC3: IP 192.168.2.10, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.2.1 PC4: IP 192.168.2.11, Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.2.1 Step 5: Configure the Router Click on the router, open the CLI tab, and enter the following commands: Enable Configure terminal Interface g0/0 IP address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 No shutdown Exit Interface g0/1 IP address 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0 No shutdown Exit Step 6: Test Network Connectivity Click on any PC, go to Desktop, then Command Prompt.
