To look back into one’s own mind is both the beginning and the completion of the path of practice. In this teaching, Thích Bảo Thành gently guides us to stop running outward and instead turn back— to observe the many currents at work within us: thoughts, emotions, habits, and perceptions arising and falling away like clouds in the sky. Through mindfulness, we learn not to fight the mind, nor to hide from it, but to look with honesty, kindness, and courage. When we see clearly, suffering loosens its grip. Greed, anger, and confusion are no longer enemies, but teachers pointing us home. This talk reminds us that practice is not about perfection, but about clarity. Not about becoming someone else, but about returning to ourselves— where wisdom and compassion are already present. May this teaching support your practice of mindful awareness, gentle self-reflection, and compassionate living. Teaching shared for reflection and practice.
