India’s Open Natural Ecosystems (ONEs), including grasslands, scrublands, and savannas, are among the country's most neglected and misclassified ecosystems. In this talk, Dr Abi Vanak explores the ecological importance of these landscapes and the threats they face from misguided policy and land use change.
