In this video, I take a hands-on look at the Behringer JT Mini, a compact analog-style synth inspired by classic Roland Jupiter designs from the 1980s. Rather than running through specs, I focus on how this synth actually works in practice. I show how to record sequences, how the record / play / delete workflow behaves, and how far you can get using just the basic parameters, especially the ADSR envelope and motion sequencing. I also talk through my real pros and cons after spending time with it — what works well, what feels limited, and who I think this synth actually makes sense for. This is very much a hands-on, real-world look, not a hype video or a deep technical breakdown. If you’re looking for a cheap, portable starter synth and you’re curious how the JT Mini compares to things like Volcas or other compact gear, this should give you a clear idea of what to expect.
