To tackle their carbon footprint, Adidas has three key loops they are working on in order to create more products with recycled materials, designed for a circular economy. In this fireside chat, René Bretschneider, SVP Market Strategy Europe for Adidas discusses the three loops that Adidas has activated in their effort to move towards and beyond carbon neutral. The Recycled Loop, wherein products are made from recycled materials such as Parley Ocean Plastics, is at the most advanced stage of the process. The Circular Loop, is focused on creating products that are made to be remade, while the Bionic Loop which is still in the prototyping stage, aims to create natural materials that are biodegradable.
