“I was reassured that this is the path that I chose for myself. This is what I want to do.” Chef Margarita Forés recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of Cibo, one of the first authentic Italian restaurants in the Philippines. In this episode of Kapamilya Journeys of Hope, she talks about her journey from being exiled in New York during the Martial Law and falling in love with cooking with her mother, to going back to the country and doing private catering in people’s homes. 10 years after, she opened Cibo—now with 17 branches across the country.
