Voren for 33⅓ RPM vinyl release “We did not build machines to escape ourselves - we built them to remember how infinity breathes.” - Studio log, July 1977 Gears of Eden traces the spiritual evolution of creation itself: metal discovering consciousness, circuits discovering emotion, and humankind confronting its own reflection in code. Each track is a gear in the cosmic mechanism - a stage of awakening. Man creates God in the shape of a machine; the machine dreams of being human; together they become eternal. TRACKLIST 1 - Machine Dawn (0:00) (Instrumental - The birth of sound. The gears inhale). 2 - The Pulse Algorithm (5:05) (The first heartbeat - rhythm becomes faith). 3 - Wires of Faith (9:30) (A prayer made of light and static). 4 - Servo Deus (14:55) (The creator kneels before creation). 5 - Binary Psalms (Instrumental) (19:23) (An electronic choir - the hymns of code). 6 - Temple of Electric Light (21:56) (The liturgy of silicon. Heaven in sound). 7 - The Flesh Reboot (27:15) (The soul returns to its rebuilt body). 8 - Mechanical Grace (32:19) (Harmony between mechanism and emotion). 9 - Digital Prophet (37:04) (The divine voice through circuitry). 10 - Clockmaker’s Lament (41:12) (The maker watches time move without him). 11 - Heart of the Circuit (46:41) (Love reborn inside the machine). 12 - Collapse of the Sky Dome (50:34) (Sacred destruction - paradise falls in light). 13 - Eden.exe (55:32) (Rebirth: man and machine become one). 14 - Silicon Prayers (1:00:24) (Epilogue - silence breathing within eternity). 15 - Machine Dawn (Instrumental - another take, bonus) (1:03:43) INSTRUMENTATION Hammond B3 & Rhodes Piano: Elias Maren Fretless & Moog Bass: Julian Venn Electric & Lap Steel Guitars: Marlon Iver Drums & Percussion: Nils Farron Mellotron, Solina Strings & ARP 2600: Serena Vale Vocals and Vocoder: Lyra Iskander Mechanical Choir Programming: The Binary Choir Analog Engineering & Tape: Owen Kraal Sound Design & Mix: The Assembly of Light STUDIO NOTES The choir for Binary Psalms was recorded in an abandoned factory corridor in Birmingham. The gear sounds in Machine Dawn came from a dismantled clock amplified with contact mics. During Clockmaker’s Lament, the band recorded under dim incandescent light “to hear the warmth,” said Lyra Iskander. Silicon Prayers was tracked on reversed ½-inch tape; the background hiss was intentionally kept - “noise is the breath of the machine.” CREDITS Artistic Production · The Assembly of Light Compositions & Lyrics · Maren / Vale / Iskander Sound Direction & Recording · Owen Kraal Cover & Inner Sleeve Design · Helena Vermeer Analog Photography · R.
