Our live cover of "Corridors of Time" from Chrono Trigger, originally composed by Yasunori Mitsuda. This arrangement by Patrick Bartley. As stated in a previous video, this game is truly and unquestionably one of the most beautiful RPGs of all time, and its soundtrack is unparalleled, without a doubt. It was this song, in fact, that put that notion over the top for me (Pat) when I first played through the game. In a similar effect that "Eruyt Village" from Final Fantasy XII had on me, this song (which first plays when you meet Melchior, and then when you reach Antiquity, originally known as the Dark Ages) cemented in the thought that I absolutely needed to explore this OST. It's taken a few years to finally get to this song (and it is by no means the definitive version - we acknowledge the mistakes), but it was worth the wait for us. Mat takes a beautiful bass solo here, and I was extremely happy to take this opportunity to solo over a harmonic soundscape that truly resonates with my inner being. It is one of my favorite solos that I've taken, if I had to pick, as it allows me to explore some of the melodic ideas that I hear in my head every day.
