Gang! I have been enjoying the heck out of the Masterbuilt electric smoker. It is perfect for beginners like me. So easy to use and leaves you with a very satisfying end result. In this case, it was smoked spatchcocked chicken. This is an awesome way to meal prep as well, so please don't think I sat down and ate three whole chickens and 8 chicken thighs...LOL. I smoked for about 2 hours here and the temperature was well over 165F. I then transferred everything over into a couple of roasting pans with a stick of butter in each and a splash of Crow Mountain Orchard apple cider (you could also use pineapple juice and it be delicious as well) and put them in a 325F oven for about an hour just to tenderize. Spatchcocking your chicken increases the surface area to catch that smoke and all that rub deliciousness. However, you could just as easily smoke the birds whole and avoid that step.
