Searching For Ospreys & Celebs With A Walk Up Dodd - Up Through Dodd Wood

For once we were doing one of our walks in the rain. Back in the Lake District and still on our holiday. This time after spending the morning looking around Keswick we were heading for a walk up Dodd. Dodd is another of the hills attached to Skiddaw but it's a nice walk to do as a stand alone hill. We were determined not to let the rain stop us and it actually ended up making for some very atmospheric views. The summit of this Wainwright was shrouded in mist when we arrived but it did clear to give us a brief view from the top. On the way down we were lucky enough to spot an Osprey and also meet a well known TV personality! So all in all a great little adventure and a very enjoyable hike in the Lake District.
