DMI GLOBAL MISSION The Daughters of Mary Immaculate(DMI) is a pontifical society of catholic women religious founded in 1984 by Rev.Fr.J.E. ARUL RAJ in chennai, India, dedicated to alleviating poverty across INDIA, TANZANIA, ZAMBIA, MALAWI, SOUTH SUDAN, ETHIOPIA, ITALY, BRAZIL, REPUBLIC OF CENTRAL AFRICA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, KENYA. Daughters of Mary Immaculate, a society of women religious congregation, augmented DMI Global Mission endeavors by helping women and children around the globe to realize their full potential. OUR VISION "LOVING GOD AND SERVING THE POOR TO BE FULLY HUMAN AND FULLY ALIVE" DMA Global Mission is delighted to celebrate 40 years of its social pastoral mission around the world. Over the years, DMI Global Mission facilitated lasting change among the lives of 1 million marginalized individuals including women, children, youth, war victims, survivors of trafficking, smallholders, farmers and survivors of gender based violence. Through various development programs provide an opportunity to learn, reflect and foster resilience and create pathways to a brighter future, new life and new hope. DMI Global Mission is contented of its commitment to help people move out of poverty and lead dignified lives in society. Our programs emphasize that success is defined by passion, dedication, creativity and innovation. Our core programs Women Empowerment at The heart of DMI's mission is the pursuit of gender equality and the empowerment of women. We empower women through community institutions such as self help groups and village savings and loan associations as well as through entrepreneurship, microcredit and skills development training. Currently, over 320,000 women members across the Central African Republic, India, Malawi, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia are benefiting from this program. Additionally, we have prevented 1785 women and young girls from experiencing gender based violence and discrimination through education, sensitization and training designed to promote their rights in the Central African Republic, India and South Sudan. Food security and agriculture DMI's sustainable food security and Livelihood program has significantly increased agriculture productivity, ensuring food availability for 86,000 farmers in the Central African Republic, India, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia. We provide training in good agriculture practices and agriculture inputs for increasing their products, securing food and nutrition and a regular income for the farming families Prevention of Human trafficking and Habitation of Survivors of Trafficking we work to prevent human trafficking of young girls through community outreach, awareness campaigns and advocacy with governmental bodies and various stakeholders. We identify rescue survivors of human trafficking, providing them with psychosocial support, life skills training, medical and legal aid and vocational training to help them learn, earn and sustain their lives. We also assist in reintegrating them with their families to lead a dignified life. This program has positively impacted over 879 survivors of human trafficking in Tanzania. We nurture children's access to education while improving to education while improving their leadership and life skills and ensuring good health. This includes education initiatives, children's parliaments and rights training aimed at eradicating child labour and ensuring quality education. Our education program currently reaches over 115,000 children in the Central African Republic, India, Malawi, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia. Adolescent Girls Empowerment this program focuses on empowering adolescent girls through life skills and mental health education. We aim to sensitize and prevent issues such as suicide, early marriage and early pregnancy among adolescents in India and Tanzania. Thus, we have supported over 3,000 adolescent girls through this initiative. DMI's vocational training enhances the skills and knowledge of young individuals, enabling them to obtain quality jobs. To date, we have trained over, 3,185 unemployed and underprivileged youth across the Central African Republic, India, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia. Humanitarian Assistance we organize and provide relief to those affected by conflict, floods and drought emergencies. Our programs have positively impacted the lives of poorer 11,600 families, including war affected individuals, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, lactating mothers and malnourished children in South Sudan, the Central African Republic and India. DMI's mission applies the Triple E Strategy Engage, Educate and Enhance This involves mobilizing women, children, youth and other vulnerable individuals, organizing them into groups, raising awareness and building their capacities for dignified living.
