Frosted Banana Bars 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 large eggs, room temperature 1 cup sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla (or banana flavoring) 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup) FROSTING: 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup butter, softened 2 teaspoons vanilla (or 1 teaspoon banana flavoring) 4 cups confectioners’ sugar Preheat your oven to 350°. Spray a 15” x 10” x 1” baking pan with nonstick spray. In a large, mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar for approximately two minutes. Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla (or banana) flavoring. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; mix into the wet ingredients. Stir in the mashed bananas. Spread the batter into your prepared baking pan and bake for 18 to 22 minutes or just until the center is done. Once your cake has cooled completely, make your frosting by creaming together the cream cheese and butter for two minutes. Add your choice of flavoring.
