Standing Water Between Houses — Here’s the Fix (U.S. Drainage Install)

Standing water between houses is one of the most common drainage problems in U.S. neighborhoods. In this project we installed catch basins and a pop-up emitter to move water safely away from the homes. This real U.S. installation shows exactly how we fix this problem. This homeowner was dealing with a very common drainage issue — standing water trapped between two houses. The area was flat, making it nearly impossible for rain runoff to escape. To solve the problem, we: ✔️ Installed 3 catch basins and 2 inlets ✔️ Tied in a downspout for better water management ✔️ Ran new pipe to a popup emitter ✔️ Cleared an old, clogged curb core and crushed Orangeburg pipe ✔️ Sleeved it with smaller PVC pipe for a permanent solution If you’ve ever struggled with water pooling in your yard or between houses, this project shows how the right drainage system can fix it for good.
