Salam alaikum! 🙏🏻 Some leaders are remembered for conquest; others for the restraint with which they wield power. In today’s reflection, we turn to the story of Dhul al-Qarnayn, found in verses 83–99 of Surah al-Kahf. A figure whose authority is defined not by domination, but by justice, humility, and responsibility before God. Drawing on classical Islamic scholarship and the insights of Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, we reflect on how the Quran presents leadership as a moral trust, exercised in service of the vulnerable rather than for personal glory. Dhul al-Qarnayn travels widely, encounters differences without fear, and responds to injustice with measured strength rather than cruelty. He builds not monuments to himself, but protections for others — and attributes every success not to his own genius, but to divine mercy. In an age marked by international tensions and fragile global order, this story offers enduring lessons: that true leadership combines strength with compassion, capability with accountability, and ambition with humility. May Allah ﷻ grant us leaders who recognize power as a trust, and hearts wise enough to honour justice wherever it is found. Amin. 🤲🏻 📅 Recorded Live: Streamed on 16th January 2026 🔔 Connect & Grow: Don’t forget to Like, Share, and Subscribe for more reflections. 💬 Join the Conversation: What does ethical leadership look like when power and responsibility meet? ☕ Appreciate my work?
