Back to normal programming! So here we are, my first solo walk in a wee while. Being a' Chochuill 980m and Being Eunaich989m Starting just North West of Dalmally the walk is easy going up an access track for almost an hour. There is some farms and fields to contend with on the way and if you're taking a dog, please be mindful of the cattle. After around an hour of walking along the track you will cross a bridge Mhoille Bridge and the a little further along you will turn back on yourself at a junction to take on the last little bit of road walking. There is a junction where you leave the road and start your ascent up the shoulder of Beinn a' Chochuill. This is really easy to miss and care needs to be taken here. W3W///shift.makeovers.firebird The ascent is steady going and fairly decent path. A nice little relief as you mount the broad ridge and enjoy the views as you work your way to the summit. Heading over to Beinn Eunaich, again, is very straighforward and doesn't require any extra special skills. There are some steep drops to the North so care is required in poor vis not to get caught out here. A short flat section precedes the steeper ascent of Beinn Eunaich. Once on the summit, again, the views are spectacular and it's hard not to dawdle in awe. The main descent is tackled quickly down a not so steep shoulder. There is some bog here and could get quite damp in wet conditions. At an elevation of 535m, you will start the "uncomfortably" steep descent. To be honest. In dry(ish) conditions there's nothing to be too concerned about. If the weather was wet, then you probably would need to be a lot more careful. I tackled this in around 15mins. Not as huge an issue as I first thought. The walk out along the farm track is pleasant and gives you a chance to recover on the hike back to the car. All in all a fantastic hike!
