This video explores the key provisions of the EU Directive on Adequate Minimum Wages, with particular focus on Article 4, which obliges EU member states with low collective bargaining coverage to promote this essential tool of social dialogue. The directive is especially relevant for Central and Eastern European countries, where bargaining coverage remains well below the EU average. 🎙 Experts from the CEECAW project share their insights on: the main challenges related to working conditions in the region, the current state of collective bargaining in EU member states and in Serbia, the opportunities the directive creates for trade unions to gain greater influence, the role of European-level social partners, such as EPSU, in supporting national efforts. 📢 Special attention is given to Serbia, as an EU candidate country, which will also be required to adopt a national action plan on collective bargaining. 📚 This video is part of the CEECAW (Central and Eastern European Collective Bargaining Watch) project, which aims to revitalise social dialogue and strengthen collective bargaining institutions across the region. 🔍 For further analysis and comparisons, check out the project's reports! https://www.isp.org.pl/en/projects/ce...
