Thailand Elephant Sanctuary Visit

There are many experiences in our lives that we cherish; today’s Birthday Experience is one I will truly never forget! We travelled the 90 minutes from our hotel in Chiang Mai to the Chang Chill Hillside Elephant Sanctuary. Our guide Nicha told us about the Mission of the Sanctuary and then told us about the 4 female Asian Elephants that called this 30 acre property home. After our briefing, she walked us up to the Bamboo Jungle. It took very little time for us to experience the elephants in their true habitat. I expected to see an elephant or 2 but not 4 and absolutely not be within 2 metres from them!!! It was a truly amazing experience! And we are very grateful for the skilled work of the mahouts that care fore these 4 beautiful ladies!!
