Die heutige „Herrenhausruine“ hat mich überrascht. Auf dem ersten Blick wenig spektakulär ist diese Ruine aber durch Ihre außergewöhnliche Architektur spannender als so mancher grosse Prachtbau. Gerade die halbrunde Kolonnade mit den Säulen zieht den Blick magisch an. Ich hoffe Euch gefällt mein Film zu dieser Ruine. Lasst es mich Wissen. ------ The current "manor house ruin" surprised me. Vielen Dank. ________________________________ Information about history: This manor house was built at the end of the 19th century on the initiative of the Łoskowski family. The manor house has interesting architecture. It features, for example, a semicircular colonnade supported by Ionic columns, which served as a pavilion. The manor house had many different owners over the course of a few years. At the outbreak of World War II, it belonged to Judge Jan Łoskowski and his wife Maria Chełmońska. They were expelled and moved to Warsaw with their daughter Izabela. In 1945, the estate was taken over by the state treasury, and the land was partially parceled out. The rest, along with the manor house and outbuildings, was taken over by the Agricultural Production Cooperative in Gaj. Like almost all other similar buildings, this one was subsequently devastated and plundered. In 1999, the manor house, the park, the ponds, and the adjacent areas were purchased by a private individual who wanted to restore them to their former glory. Nothing has happened for 26 years now, so now only a few bare walls and remnants of the former park remain. ______ VLOG – P 025
