It began with writer’s block, uncertainty, and a sense of creative friction — and slowly unfolded through experimentation, patience, and intuition. The real title of this video is Gravitas. In this video, I break down the process of writing and producing Gravitas from scratch inside Logic Pro X. From discovering an arpeggiated piano motif and working in a 3/4 time signature, to shaping drums, bass, textures, and recycled vocals, this track emerged through persistence rather than force. I talk about navigating writer’s block, embracing mistakes, and allowing the song to reveal itself over time — including techniques like sidechain compression, bitcrushing, time-stretching vocals across different BPMs and time signatures, and layering frequency ranges to create movement and atmosphere. This isn’t a step-by-step tutorial, but a real look into how a song can come together when you stay present with the process.
