Brought to you by 651 ARTS and The Soapbox Presents, We Outside! Vol. III - now a summer staple in Downtown Brooklyn - was our biggest year yet. With live performances, food truck offerings and a host of family and community engagement experiences, this year’s celebrations included: Made Black: A Juneteenth Marketplace Curated by Brooklyn Pop UP Melanated Notes Pairing poet with musician for an aural exploration of freedom. The Cypher: Rep Your City Sharing stories of cities, countries, and cultures through dance Young, Gifted and Black A tribute to HBCU Culture Stoop Sessions: Freedom Songs Exploring our journey through protest music to a party of radical joy. We are immensely grateful to all of our partners, artists, and community for making this event bigger and more special each year. We Outside! A Brooklyn Juneteenth, Vol. III programming is curated by The Soapbox Presents and presented in partnership with Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.
