The Torrente Soffia offers some spectacular canyoning with a good mix of beautiful abseils, jumps, slides, and gorgeous views. It is considered to be one of the more beautiful canyons in this area filled with beautiful canyons. One major point of critique that we found was that there were almost no anchors set up for rappelling in, or close to, the waterfalls. Most of the anchors are placed very far away from the water, which can be good under more extreme circumstances, but was a bit of a pity with low water flow. Nonetheless, this canyon is beautiful, and quite accessible for (relatively fit) beginners. However, as canyoning is forbidden in this area, be careful that you are not spotted by the rangers, and try to stay away from the bar during opening hours. Parking: 46°11'10.8"N 12°02'42.1"E at the Bar alla Soffia (try to park a little further away from the bar) Ascent: Follow the road up to Gene Alta. At the little fountain located at the last serpentine before entering Gene Alta take the forest road to the right. At the old lime kiln, where the road turns into a small path, is the beginning of the canyon (roughly at 46°11'52.4"N 12°03'16.8"E). (45 min - 1h) Descent: The first part of the Torrente Soffia before it is joined by the river Pisson is the most narrow part of the canyon. After the Pisson joins the canyon remains quite wide but still beautiful. (3.5 - 4.5 h) The way back: From where the video ends, carefully make your way around the top of the bar and back to the car. Try to avoid walking directly in front of the bar. (5 min) Max Abseil: 35 m Anchors are very good (Fall 2021) #Canyoning #Canyoneering #GoPro
