From Monica Wheatley: "This is a video of our son, Ryan Samuel Wheatley made up of images taken by photographer Heather Rivlin through the organization Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. Ryan was born at 31 weeks. He was not breathing when he was born and it took the staff 16 minutes to get him breathing again. As a result of this, he was brain dead with a 5% chance of survival. We kept him on life support for four days and these pictures were taken after he was removed from life support but before he passed." Monica and Nigel Wheatley have so kindly shared this beautiful video in remembrance of their son Ryan, and to help speak out about pregnancy and infant loss. By sharing their memories and their story, they are giving courage to other parents suffering a pregnancy or infant loss to do the same. Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) is a not-for-profit organization that connects professional photographers with parents suffering the loss of a baby. NILMDTS introduces remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture. NILMDTS trains, educates, and mobilizes professional quality photographers to provide beautiful heirloom portraits to families facing the untimely death of an infant.
