Hi Friends Welcome back to #momthehomemaker , The above recipe is of Authentic #sarsonkasaag in village style , it is my mom’s recipe which she has inherited from her mom .. Ingredients for 500 grams of washed & dried mustard leaves 300 grams washed & dried spinach 300 grams washed & dried bathua saag 2 Tsp corn flour 2 tsp of besan 4 green chilli 20 cloves garlic 3 medium onion 100 grams ginger 1 cup water 4 tablespoon ghee How to make Sarson da Saag STEP 1 Wash and clean the mustard leaves, spinach and bathua saag. To make it adulterant-free, soak the greens in lukewarm water and add a pinch of salt. STEP 2 After washing the saag , then finely chop all the leaves. Take a. Put in ginger and 10 garlic cloves along with the leaves. Let it cool for sometime. Take a pressure cooker and cook all the leaves for one an hour approximately. Step 3 Add 2 tsp of corn flour and 2 tsp of besan and mash the saag with the hand masher until it is smooth. Keep the pressure cooker back on the gas stove on slow flame for 10 mins. STEP 4 For tempering take two Tsp of ghee in a pan , add pinch of hing and 1/2 tsp of jeera and add 1 chopped onion in it , sauté the onions until they are golden brown. STEP 5 Add the above tadka in the saag , mix them well , our saag is ready , serve hot with makki ki roti .
