This week on PeaceParks.TV, we showcase the impact of our work in Zambia during a visit by the Swedish Board of Peace Parks and demonstrate the support we provide to the Southern African Wildlife College in South Africa. “With the Swedish Board’s support, we are helping to improve lives in Africa and changing the trajectory of conservation in countries like Zambia,” says Cobus Theron, Peace Parks’ Stewardship and Donor Relations Manager. From cattle to clean cooking From the Herding for Health programme, which supports sustainable livelihoods for communities that depend on livestock for a living, to the Cookstoves project, which reduces emissions from cooking fires by providing people with more fuel-efficient cookstoves – our funded projects are making a difference. “Our interventions are having an impact, and it’s an impact we should be proud of because we are changing lives. We value your contributions and long may they continue,” says Prof Andrew Nambota, Regional Manager for Peace Parks. “To experience and see what Peace Parks is doing in southern Africa, I'm convinced that the organisation and this college are leaving footprints on the development of all of southern Africa, to the benefit of the generations to come,” says Swedish Board member Hans Christian Magnus. “I’m so proud to be part of the Peace Parks family,” says Anna Belfrage, Chairman of the Swedish Board.
