(13 Dec 2000) Arabic/Nat XFA The leader of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, says German mediation over an exchange of prisoners with Israel covers all Arab detainees in Israel, not just Lebanese prisoners. Hezbollah is also demanding the maps showing the location of mines laid in southern Lebanon by Israel before its May 24 withdrawal after 22 years of occupation. The fundamentalist leader made his comments in a speech to several thousand people during a dinner at the end of the daily Ramadan fasting in Beirut on Wednesday. Hezbollah, which spearheaded the struggle against the Israeli occupation, has been holding three Israeli soldiers since October 7 when it captured them on the Lebanese-Israeli border. The group also claims to be holding an agent of the Israeli secret service, Mossad, who's described by Israel as a 54-year-old businessman. SOUNDBITE: (Arabic) "We refuse to give any information on the captured soldiers unless against a human price and for human reasons, and because we have morals and values we refuse to offer information for free." SUPER CAPTION: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah spiritual leader and founder SOUNDBITE: (Arabic) "We're talking about the three soldiers and the Israeli lieutenant, that 's from our side, we're talking here about human prices because we don't want to complicate things. We could have asked for political prices or other prices but our main demands are human since we want this operation to be successful. These human demands concern the detainees, the prisoners, the bodies of martyrs and to reveal the fate of all the ones who were missing in 1982 during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. There are people who were missing while fighting the enemy. We want to know whether they were detained or killed, and if they are still alive then where are they, and if they were killed we want their bodies. There are also Palestinians who are missing inside Palestine, people that we don't know if they are still alive or are dead or are martyrs or in prison." SUPER CAPTION: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah spiritual leader and founder SOUNDBITE: (Arabic) "There is one other thing that we mentioned in our conditions. We want the maps showing the location of the mines laid in southern Lebanon and West Bekaa by Israel." SUPER CAPTION: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah spiritual leader and founder SOUNDBITE: (Arabic) "It is not true what you've been reading that the swap deal is only restricted to Lebanese prisoners in Israeli jails. This is not true, and I can say here that we are dealing with this file from a human and moral position and we consider ourselves truly concerned with all the detainees and prisoners inside the enemy jails, whether they are Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Egyptian or Jordanian."
