Part 3: The Menko, or Thread Container

This video is the third in an ongoing series titled, "Things to Do Inside When There Is a Pandemic Outside", created by Mark Burger, Founder and Executive Director of the East Denver Origami Society, with the intention of helping members have a little refuge of calm and beauty amidst a chaotic and uncertain time. In this video Mark gives you a refresher course on how to fold the traditional Menko, or Thread Container, which is a staple in his foundation course titled, "Origami for the Mind". In parts IV and V of this series we will go on to alter the Menkos to serve as modules in constructing a recently re-discovered Edo period modular box dating from 1734 known as a Tamatabako.
