AI and critical thinking go hand in hand, but students need support to bridge the gap. This webinar gives you practical ways to help learners question, verify, and evaluate what AI produces. How do we help students move beyond accepting AI-generated answers at face value? This Share My Lesson webinar explores AI and critical thinking through a classroom-ready lens, giving educators tools to help students evaluate, question, and improve what AI produces. Drawing on real examples from a high school history classroom, we model how students can use AI as a starting point—then apply human reasoning to judge accuracy, bias, and relevance. You’ll see how educators can build routines that encourage students to pause, analyze, and verify information. We introduce the R.E.A.D. process—Read it, Evaluate it, Ask for evidence, Decide what to do—as a scaffold to support inquiry, reflection, and evidence-based decision-making. The webinar also looks at how teachers can use AI as a planning partner to refresh lessons, differentiate questions, and model productive skepticism for students. We also examine ways to integrate AI literacy into existing curriculum: Socratic seminars, debates, research routines, writing workshops, and source evaluation activities. Educators will see how students can practice identifying missing perspectives, checking facts across sources, and recognizing when an AI-generated response is incomplete, inaccurate, or too simplistic. Through lively educator discussion, classroom anecdotes, and real-time examples, this webinar breaks down how to help students think critically about both AI and the content they study. This session is part of the global Hour of AI initiative and is designed for PreK–12 educators, parents, and public-service professionals who want practical ways to build AI literacy without sacrificing depth or nuance. You’ll walk away with strategies you can use tomorrow—ones that help students question confidently, analyze thoughtfully, and understand their own reasoning process.
