Ground yourself and energise your whole body with this 20 minute vinyasa yoga flow. This class combines sun salutations, twists, side planks and core work to build strength, improve mobility and calm your mind. We start by arriving in tadasana with simple side stretches and gentle twists to wake up the spine and shoulders. From there you move through rounds of Surya Namaskar A and B to warm the whole body, followed by twisted chair pose, high lunge twists and variations of side plank to challenge balance and stability. In the second half of the class you explore malasana yogi squat to open the hips and then fire up your core in boat pose with gentle twists. You finish with soothing reclined twists and a restful shavasana so you can integrate the practice and step off the mat feeling centred and refreshed. This practice is suitable for strong beginners and intermediate yogis. It works well as a morning yoga flow to wake up the body or an evening practice to release the day. Move at your own pace, listen to your body and feel free to use blocks or props for extra support. This video was filmed at Kloentalersee in beautiful Switzerland.
