The 2023-2024 academic year will feature a suite of employer education webinars, all designed to help educate you and your organization’s hiring professionals on the top trends and best practices specific to Huskies here at the University of Washington. Join us for our second webinar of the year as we discuss equity in the workplace, especially in regards to hiring and retaining student employees or interns. In this presentation, you can expect to: Delve into some existing standard practices in recruitment and retention that may exclude or disadvantage marginalized populations Understand and identify some new best practices and standards for onboarding and retaining new employees Consider how to revamp aspects of your hiring processes, including: position descriptions, onboarding checklists, career fair participation, hiring rubrics, team-building, and more
