What I eat in a day crispy foods that are oil free is what I will be sharing with you today. I love crispy foods but usually they are fried in oil. These 3 recipes are made with no oil and are gluten free. Low fat and weight loss friendly. So you can enjoy your favorite foods without the oil. Full Recipes below. CRISPY WAFFLE RECIPE 1 cup oats 1 T ground flax seed 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1 ripe banana 1 1/2 cups water or less if you want it thicker Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth. Pour into a preheated waffle iron. Let cook until your desired crispness. Top with maple syrup and berries CRISPY TOFU SPRING ROLLS Start by preparing your tofu. 1/2 block tofu pressed for 1 hour garlic powder onion powder nutritional yeast Cut tofu into strips. Season both sides pressing the spices and nutritional yeast into tofu. Place into your air fryer basket and cook @ 390 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes Next shred your Veggies 1 carrot 1/2 cucumber red and green cabbage. I bought a pre=shredded bag rice paper wraps large shallow bowl filled with warm water. Take two wrappers and place them on top of each other, then dip in the water to get it wet. Place on a cutting board and add more water onto the wraps and spread around with fingers until it is soft enough to roll but not to soft. You don't want if to tear. Place veggies onto one end of the wrap and place a tofu strip on top of the veggies and roll up starting from the bottom and folding in the sides as you go. Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper and place spring rolls into the basket and make sure they are not touching. Set @ 390 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. DIPPING SAUCE 1 T PB2 2 T WATER 1 T COCONUT AMINOS Mix well CHICKPEA TAQUITOS 1/2 chopped onion 2 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp each salt, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder 1 tsp oregano 1/2 cup veggie broth 1/2 can fire roasted tomatoes (about 1 cup) 1 can rinsed and drained chickpeas corn tortillas Water saute onion until soft about 3 minutes then add garlic and saute one minute Add spices and saute 1-2 minutes adding water if needed. Add veggie broth, fire roasted tomatoes and chickpeas simmer for 10 minutes. Then lightly mash the mixture leaving some chickpeas whole. Warm the tortilla by placing in a heated pan for 30 seconds per side. This will help them roll up and not break. Place the tortilla down and add some of the chickpea mixture down the center and roll up. You can secure with a tooth pick if needed. Place seam side down in your parchment paper lined air fryer basket. Set temp to 380 or 390 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with my cheese sauce.
