Ingredients For the Cheese Roux: 4 tbsp of butter 2ish cups of milk 2 or 3 cups of shredded cheddar 4 to 5 strips of cooked bacon, chopped For you spicy people, crushed red pepper For the Crumble topping: 2 cups of plain bread crumbs or panko 2 to 3 tbsp of butter a couple of handfuls of crushed, dried, fried onions Melt the butter in a bowl and mix all of this shit together until the crumbs all look oily/buttery. Instructions: 1. Start boiling your water asap. Don't forget to add salt, ya salty bitch. 2. Once your water is close to boiling, start melting butter in your sauce pan 3. Add minced garlic to melted butter and cook until garlic is soft and butter is slightly browned 4. Add your flour to the sauce pan and stir for roughly one minute 5. Once your flour has been cooking for one minute, start adding your milk a little at a time 6. Once you've added all of the milk, make sure you're at medium heat and cook for a while, stirring occasionally. 7. Once the roux starts thickening up to your desired consistency, start adding the shredded cheese 8. Once shredded cheese in added, salt and season to taste (now would be a good time to add crushed red pepper if you'd like. 9. At this point your water should be a rolling boil. Add your pasta and cook for the suggested time. 10. Strain pasta and put back in the same pot you cooked it in. Add the cheese roux and the bacon and stir until everything is mixed evenly. 11. Pour your Daddy Mac N' Cheese into your oven dish and evenly spread. 12. Sprinkle your crumble topping over everything and broil in the oven on high for 5 minutes until it is nice and brown. 13. Remove and let cool for 3 minutes and serve. Trust. You're going to love this shit.
