A crispy and super delicious filo pastry recipe. This recipe is simple and easy to make. The best sweet potato and cheese filo pie. Perfect for dinner or breakfast. Enjoy :) INGREDIENTS & PRODUCTS USED: Pyrex Glass Mixing Bowl Set: https://amzn.to/3kMv3hr Digital scale: https://amzn.to/2Y4977B FULL RECIPE: INGREDIENTS (round pan 26 cm, 10 inch): 6 filo pastry sheets (35*25 cm or 14*9 inch), thawed Olive oil 2 small sweet potatoes (about 400 gram), cut into small squares and baked with olive oil and a bit of kosher salt 100 gram (3.5 oz) Bulgarian feta cheese 5%, crumbled 150 gram (5.3 oz) cheese mix 15%, grated 100 gram (3.5 oz) goat cheese 1 large egg 1/4 teaspoon shredded black pepper For the topping: sesame and nigella seeds INSTRUCTIONS: 1. In a large bowl add bakes sweet potatoes, grated cheese mix, crumbles Bulgarian cheese, egg and shredded black pepper. Mix gently with a fork. 2. Cut goat cheese into semicircles and set aside in a bowl. 3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), place baking sheet on a round pan 26 cm (10 inch) or grease with oil. 4. Place baking paper on the work surface and filo sheet on top with the wide side facing you. (Recommends covering the rest of the filo sheets with a towel so that they do not dry out while working). 5. Brush the filo sheet with olive oil (note that you also brush the sides). 6. Add about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture at the beginning of the filo at the bottom (2 cm from the edge) and leave two empty edges. Place 3-4 pieces of goat cheese along the filling. 7. Fold the edges inwards and roll the filo inwards until a long roll is formed. Leave the open part facing down and spread olive oil on top. Transfer to the round pan. 8. Prepare all the pastries and arrange in the pan. 9. Sprinkle over sesame seeds and nigella seeds. It's super tasty- don’t skip this part. 10. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until the pastry is golden browned on top. 11. Remove from the oven and serve :) COMMENTS/ UPGRADES: • Don't add much of the filling on each filo sheet because it can explode during baking. • When baking sweet potatoes, it is recommended not to add a lot of salt to the sweet potatoes because there is enough salt in the cheeses themselves. #filopastry #cheesefilopastry #easyfilorecipe --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching!
