Making a Folding Travel Chess Board with Magnets

In this video I make a folding chess board that is held together with rare earth magnets. It is ideal for travel because it folds into a smaller size. The chess board has 2-1/4" squares (57mm) made from sapele and curly maple. Each square has separated from its neighboring squares with a groove created by a 45 degree bevel on each edge of the square. The frame has algebraic notation filled with black epoxy.
