On this Sunday, 11th January 2026, we celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, marking the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry and the powerful revelation of the Holy Trinity. In the Gospel of Matthew 3:13–17, Jesus humbly steps into the waters of the Jordan to be baptized by John. As He emerges, the heavens open, the Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father’s voice proclaims: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” The First Reading (Isaiah 42:1–4, 6–7) introduces the Servant of the Lord, chosen to bring justice, light, and freedom to the nations. The Second Reading (Acts 10:34–38) reminds us that God shows no partiality and that Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit to bring healing and hope to all. This reflection invites us to rediscover our own baptismal identity—called to live as beloved sons and daughters of God, filled with the Spirit, and sent to bring light into the world. Readings of the Day: • Isaiah 42:1–4, 6–7 • Acts 10:34–38 • Matthew 3:13–17 Take a moment to pray, reflect, and renew your commitment to walk as children of the light.
