The Apex Chair is a theee-person fixed grip chairlift located at West Mountain in Queensbury NY. The chairlift starts at the Northwest base area and runs all the way to the summit of the mountain. This lift was built by Partek in 2019 to replace a 1971 Thiokol triple chairlift, and was built as part of Apex Capital’s strategy of modernizing West Mountain. This lift serves the entire Northwest side of West Mountain and has very little capacity for everything its needed for, and would definitely benefit from getting a loading carpet in the future. This lift is the only way out of the Northwest base area right now, but that will soon change once the Woods Flyer high-speed chairlift gets built. Overall, this lift does its job pretty well and should be sticking around for a long time.
