Railway line Beograd - Bar is a special railway line, sustained by spectacular infrastructure facilities. On its way from Belgrade to Montenegro and the Adriatic Sea coast the line goes through 254 tunnels and 234 bridges. The Belgrade - Bar railway line passes through special scenery natural areas of Western Serbia region. Scenic and landscape views change continuously while the line crosses several mountain passes, canyons and gorges. This video includes train ride from Bijelo Polje (Montenegro/Serbia border) to Beograd. Recording was done from passenger train 430 Bar - Beograd (Zemun). There are 152 railway tunnels, over 140 railway bridges, 2 significant mountain passes and 4 canyons. Near the border of Serbia and Montenegro, train passes through the canyon of the Lim river. There are numerous long tunnels and tunnel galleries. Stringed tunnels and tunnel galleries make up the Vrbnica - Brodarevo section 90% underground. Then follows the valley of the river Lim to Priboj. From Priboj, the railway line begins a steep ascent to the Zlatibor mountain pass. The steel bridge crosses the river Uvac and one section of the railway line enters the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It passes through a series of short and long tunnels, many bridges and the Crni Rzav canyon. The highest point of this line is located in the longest railway tunnel, Zlatibor. With its 6169m length the Zlatibor tunnel is the longest railway tunnel and the longest tunnel in Serbia too. The line descends through the mountain clearings of Braneško Polje to the canyon of the Djetinja River. The canyon leads to Užice. Plain and gently undulating areas of the Požega valley appear all the way to Kosjerić. The exception is the short gorge of the Skrapež river. There are several tunnel galleries. From Kosjerić, the railway line gradually climbs to the Valjevo mountains pass. Next comes the descent towards Valjevo through the canyons of the rivers Zabava, Suvaja and Gradac. From Valjevo, the train accelerates as it passes through the plains. Near Belgrade, the train passes the last tunnels and enters the Beograd railway junction zone. This ride is 320km long. Of that, 76km in tunnels and over 10km above ground. The most significant line facilities are best represented by the longest tunnels and the largest steel and concrete bridge objects: Bridge "Lim 3" (L=395m) Tunnel 144 "Gostun" (L=1245m) Tunnel 142 (L=1229m) Tunnel 141 "Dubočica" (L=1082m) Tunnel 134 "Mili" (L=2259m) Tunnel 132 "Strugovi" (L=2765m) Tunnel 131 "Sopotnica" (L=1941m) Bridge "Lim 2" (L=277m) Tunnel 119 (L=1017m) Bridge "Uvac" (L=303m) Tunnel 100 "Goleš" (L=4964m) Tunnel 98 "Samarevina" (L=1671m) Bridge "Vrelo" (L=237m) Bridge "Ribnica" (L=271m) Tunnel 90 (L=1062m) Tunnel 81 "Zlatibor" (L=6169m) Tunnel 44 "Drenovački Kik" (L=3917m) Tunnel 29 "Zavojnica" (L=1049m) Tunnel 5 "Bela Reka" (L=3816m) Tunnel "Dedinje" (L=3086m) (Belgrade railway junction) Bridge "Novi železnički most" (L=1928m) (Belgrade railway junction) Tunnel "Bežanijska kosa" (L=1921m) (Belgrade railway junction) This railway line was built during the former Yugoslavia. In 1976, the electrification was completed and it was put into commercial traffic. At that time, it represented a real construction miracle. Such an abundance of long tunnels, string tunnels, bridges and tunnel galleries rarely anywhere else in the world has been built. This video completely covers the entire railway line on the territory of Serbia. It can be considered as a sequel video of this railway line from Bar to Bijelo Polje, which shows unique landscapes through the whole Montenegro, from the Adriatic Sea over high mountain passes to the border with Serbia ( • 4K CABVIEW Bar - Bijelo Polje -102 tunnels... ). Unfortunately, the lack of maintenance has led to a very poor condition of the infrastructure. Train speeds are very low at some sections. Somewhere it is 30km/h, and even 10km/h. At some sections in the plains, the speed of the train is 100km/h. All relevant information about the journey, locations, speeds, objects along the track and elevation are shown during the video. For ease of viewing, the video is divided into the following more important sections (railway stations and stopping places of this train): 00:00 15:25 Bijelo Polje - Vrbnica (Montenegro/Serbian border) 15:25 55:06 Vrbnica - Prijepolje Teretna (The Lim river canyon) 55:06 01:55:26 Prijepolje teretna - Priboj 01:55:26 03:46:28 Priboj - Užice (The Crni Rzav canyon and mountain pass Zlatibor) 03:46:28 04:10:33 Užice - Požega 04:10:33 04:44:37 Požega - Kosjerić (The Skrapež river valley and gorge) 04:44:37 05:44:42 Kosjerić - Valjevo (Valjevo mountains pass and the Gradac river canyon) 05:44:42 06:02:00 Valjevo - Lajkovac 06:02:00 06:53:48 Lajkovac - Rakovica 06:53:48 07:02:21 Rakovica - Beograd Centar 07:02:21 07:13:18 Beograd Centar - Zemun Date of recording: July 2022.
