This wasn't the plan. The plan was to land in La Guardia. The plan was to arrive about 8 hours earlier. The plan was to be waking up in Brooklyn about now. The plan changed. Due to lingering effects of extreme weather in the North-eastern United States over the previous weekend, my United Express flight from IAD to LGA was delayed, delayed, and delayed again until it was rescheduled to the following morning. I was able to transfer to a different flight into EWR the next morning. It would cut it close for my 9am meeting in Brooklyn, especially with traffic. I chose to hop NJTransit from EWR to NY Penn Station, and then the Subway down to Brooklyn where I could run (walk) a couple of blocks to the customer office. That meant I had about 30 minutes standing on a very, very cold station platform on the Northeast Corridor (and the North Jersey Coast Line) where I got to watch trains go by. Oh no. How sad. Whatever shall I do. I don't have train numbers - I know one of the Amtraks was 190, but I don't have any of the others. If you do, throw them in the comments. They spread about 7:40am to 8:10-8:15am, and most are headed North toward Newark Penn Station, Secaucus Junction, and on into NY Penn Station. Also the Veteran's Heritage ACS-64 unit makes a rapid appearance.
