Welcome back to our Blind 100% Playthrough of Sonic Megamix Mania! Our campaign run concludes with the Amy Campaign! For those wondering how to play as Amy, you must enable her via the Sonic Mania Mod Manager. It is recommended you complete the game with the other 5 characters first, as you will miss out on character exclusive content, given that Amy replaces Mighty when the lock-on feature is enabled. Please note, you must enable the Sonic Megamix Mania Mod first and then the Amy Lock-on mod second. Order does matter. Upon enabling this, we are greeted to a new title screen, as well as a few key menu details being changed. As with the others, Amy is a ton of fun to play. She gains all of the base Genesis Sonic abilities, in addition to her Adventure Staples, such as her Hammer Attack and Hammer Jump, which can be activated while running. In addition, Amy also gains access to the new Hammer Flip, a crazy powerful technique that enables her to leap high into the air like Tails, but unlike Tails, she gains a hitbox and becomes completely invincible during the ascent animation! Despite the fact that she becomes vulnerable upon reaching the apex of her leap, this technique is incredibly busted, is a ton of fun to use and has incredible utility, especially when fighting bosses. Amy is even given the Mania treatment, gaining a Super Transformation of her own and boasting one of the cleanest Transform animations I have ever seen. Shoutout to the Megamix Mania Team for including this extra campaign. It's well worth your time to see what Amy's got to offer. She's just as much fun to play as the rest of the cast!
