Born and bred in Old Trafford and having no prior rowing or sea experience, Finn Christo set out to raise £200k for charity by rowing across the Atlantic Ocean. Enduring the worst weather for an Ocean crossing, stalked by sharks, running out of food and dealing with a collapse of the team structure, Finn's talk will show that anyone (including you!) can cross an Ocean. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
