Windy, warm and dry weather may be in the forecast for some regions battling bushfires in the coming week, as high pressure (quite strong) remains south of the nation and a large pool of low pressure covers the top half, if not the top 3/4 of Australia. Beween the highs and lows we have a 'squash zone' of air pressure, making for windier easterlies over the next week, especially around parts of NSW, Vic and SA. Severe thunderstorms may also affect parts of Vic, NSW, the A.C.T and Qld on Thursday. We're also monitoring a couple of low pressure zones around the Coral Sea / Vanuatu area, especially going into the start of next week. It's not clear yet what precisely will happen there, but we show you the latest modelling. Plus a 7 day rainfall map of Australia to make sense of it all.
