TT, the sweet, black-and-white, one-year-old kitty in Zachary, Louisiana, got stuck in a tree again just one week after the first time. This time, however, he was in a much more difficult spot to reach. He was 50 feet high and 30 feet out on a very long limb of a tree in a wooded area. I thought he would be able to come to me since the limb was not very steep, but, even though he wanted and tried to come to me, he could not step past a short, steep, and slippery spot, so I had to go to him. I had to place a rope in the fork where he was perched, and after I saw the way he reacted to the rope in his first rescue, I knew he would be concerned about it here too. He thought the rope was a snake, so he had to swat at it and investigate it first before he realized it was not a threat. I held a carrier out in front of him, and he readily stepped inside. His owner was out of town, so my instructions were to place him in a large cage on the carport, and the daughter would be there a few minutes later to take him inside the house.
